Hello everyone! My name is Xiangming Huang, and I’m 21 years old, born on May 31, 2003. I’m originally from Zhejiang province, China, but I was actually born in Chongqing. Shortly after, I moved to Sichuan, my mother’s hometown, which might explain my love for spicy food. Both Sichuan and Chongqing are famous for their bold flavors, especially hotpot, which is my favorite!
When I was a few months old, my family moved to Zhejiang, my father’s home province. I also spent time in Guangzhou, where I went to kindergarten and learned to speak Cantonese. After that, we moved to Jiangxi, where I completed my middle and high school education. After high school, I attended an international college in Guangzhou before coming to the University of Westminster here in the UK.
One of my biggest passions is traveling, and I’ve been fortunate enough to visit many places in China, like Shanghai, Macau, Hong Kong, Chongqing, Tibet, and Sichuan. I’m also an adrenaline junkie—I love extreme sports like paragliding! I have a deep interest in supercars and, though guns are illegal in China, I enjoy learning about them through media.
I’m also a proud cat owner! My cat, Pico, is an adorable pure white Highland cat. He’s super fluffy, with long fur, and he’s incredibly affectionate. Pico loves being around people and follows me everywhere. He definitely adds a lot of joy to my daily life.
The reason I chose to study Digital Media is my passion for photography. I love capturing landscapes in my free time. Although I’m still an amateur, I find joy in improving my skills, and that’s why I’m here to study. I also love analyzing movie scenes and appreciating artistic visuals, which drives my interest in the media industry.
