Hi ! My name is Jeanne, I am nineteen years old and I am from Switzerland. In 2023, I moved to London to study at university. During my first year, I was an English literature student and I transferred to Digital Media and Journalism this year. I have always loved writing and I believe that this new course will be more fitting for me and for my future as I want to become a journalist.
I love to read, my favorite book is The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. I could talk about it for hours and you should definitely read! I also enjoy music and am always listening to something, some of my favourite artists include, Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, Steve Lacy, Frank Ocean and The 1975. One of my favourite thing to do when I’m bored is go to museums. My two favourites are the National Gallery in London and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam because they both have some of my favorite paintings.
Traveling is also something that I love, as I really enjoy discovering new places and cultures. I have never been to Japan and it is my dream to go. Last summer, I went to Tanzania and it was a unique and unforgettable experience.
The most important thing to me are my friends. I love to hang out, travel and make memories with them. Obviously, I miss my friends from Switzerland but moving to London has also allowed me to meet new people and create new relationships.
The last thing I will talk about is my cat, Bobby, as he deserves a special mention because of how adorable he is.
