Hello everyone! My name is Zilin Wang, and I come from Guangzhou, a beautiful and vibrant city in the south of China. I’m really excited to have the chance to introduce myself and share a bit about who I am, where I come from, and what I enjoy doing in my free time.
I would describe myself as someone who enjoys exploring both the real and virtual worlds. In my spare time, I love watching movies and playing video games. Lately, I’ve been especially obsessed with a game called Valorant, which has become my go-to way to relax and challenge myself after a busy day. I enjoy the teamwork, strategy, and fast-paced excitement it brings—it’s more than just a game; it’s a way to connect with friends and meet new people from all around the world.
Apart from gaming, one of my biggest passions is traveling with friends. So far, I’ve been lucky enough to visit places like Italy, Iceland, and South Korea. Each trip gave me new perspectives, amazing memories, and a deeper appreciation for different cultures. I love discovering local food, wandering through new cities, and capturing moments through photos. Traveling always reminds me how big the world is and how much there is still to learn and see.
My love for K-pop has also played a big role in shaping my interests and experiences. After graduating from high school, I decided to study in Korea for a year to learn the Korean language. It was one of the most exciting experiences of my life—I learned so much about Korean culture, made local friends, and improved my language skills. Although I eventually decided not to continue studying there and later moved to London, that year in Korea remains a special memory that I will always cherish.
When it comes to food, my absolute favorite dish is Luosifen, a rice noodle soup from Guangxi, China. It has a strong, unique smell and an unforgettable spicy flavor. I know it’s not for everyone, but for me, it’s the ultimate comfort food that always reminds me of home.
This year marks my second year living in the UK, and I’m really looking forward to what lies ahead. London is such a diverse and inspiring city, full of opportunities to grow, meet new people, and experience different cultures. I hope to make the most of my time here—studying hard, exploring more of the UK and Europe, and continuing to pursue my interests in travel, languages, and culture.
