Scandinavia?

My name is Sanna Stolberg, I am a 24-year-old international student from Finland! No, Finland is not a part of Scandinavia and yes, it is super cold. We eat rye bread and exchange deep thoughts with each other only within the context of a sauna.

SAUNA – a room used as a hot-air or steam bath for cleaning and refreshing the body, traditionally one in which steam is produced by pouring water on to heated stones.

Winter is nice too!

Despite being born and raised in Finland, I am fully Ukrainian and my native language is Russian. I grew up eating Borsch and watching Russian Tv shows. The most painful memory from my childhood was being forced to write in Russian (some of our letters look like numbers). Ever since I was a child, my passion has been storytelling and performance. I started performing in musicals and on-screen when I was 13, taking dance and vocal lessons. I have always loved people, cultures, entertainment and travelling. There is something so fascinating about people and the way we express our identity and beliefs. Thus being the reason I chose to study Media and Communications!

Finnish summer is amazing <3

Even though I come from a small country, with a population of just 5 million people, I am a big city girl at heart! I love London! Catching the tube in the morning, watching people rush through the streets, all the cute cafes and restaurants that are tempting me to spend my money, fashion and the melting pot of cultures – all of it excites me!

Random thought: I thought London would be more rainy than it is, which I don't mind.

I did my first year of studies in Film at the University of Westminster and this year decided to switch my course. I am eager to grow as a communicator, learn the history of media and broaden my knowledge in understanding our modern society and how to make a positive influence through my life. I believe that each of us is responsible for what we do with the time that has been given to us on this earth. We can choose to live a meaningful life, leaving a legacy behind for the generations to come.

I am excited to meet you in person! Lets chat more!

All the love, Sanna <3
