Hi, my name is Maybelle, I’m 19 years old and I’m studying Digital Media Production. I chose this pathway because I’m more drawn to the practical and technical side of digital media, particularly filming and editing, rather than the written side. I enjoy the creative process of bringing ideas to life through visuals and storytelling.
Music is a big part of my life, and I enjoy listening to a wide range of genres, although house and soca are my favourites. Some of my favourite artists include PinkPantheress, Melanie Martinez, Doja Cat and old school Madonna.
Other than music, I’m a big film and TV enthusiast. Some of my favourite films include The Handmaid’s Tale (1990), Romeo + Juliet (1996), 8 Mile and Ready Player One. When it comes to TV, I enjoy shows such as Friends, Sex and the City, Skins and The Handmaid’s Tale. I’m particularly interested in stories that explore different perspectives, relationships and social/political issues, which is one of the things I love most about film and television.
