My name is Suraiya, I’m an aspiring Motorsports journalist, I’m born and raised in London but hope to travel the world, experiencing different races in different countries, as well as experiencing all the new cultures all around the globe!
My hobbies are reading, writing and occasionally getting mad at sports (its hard being a Scuderia Ferrari fan for years.)
My goal is to be the first Muslim Hijabi Formula one journalist, i’ve been a fan of the sport for years and noticed the lack of women AND Muslims in the sport, i hope to change that in the future! Ive gotten into Formula One because of the four time WDC Sebastian Vettel and although he retired (and will possibly be coming back in 2026 with Audi) I admired his passion for the sport and his determination to make the sport more inclusive AND environmentally friendly.
I also have a passion for Ancient Greek history, although i blame reading Percy Jackson as a kid for that obsession. I spend my free time reading books by Stephen Fry, Pat Barker and anyone else who has released a retelling of the Trojan War.
I do also enjoy gaming although i wouldn’t recommend playing FIFA with me as I get mad really easily because of that game. My favourite game is Insomniac’s Spider-Man and Jedi: Fallen Order as I prefer story based games rather than multiplayer ones.
A fun fact about me is that I can quote most of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, especially the mustafar scenes! Unfortunately Anakin is my favourite character hah!
